YOUR BODY RELATIONSHIP RESULT TYPE:

Survivor

Hello Gorgeous đź’•

As a survivor, you’ve spent your life striving, trying to fit in and prove your worthiness.

You believe that appearance and body shape important indicators of health.

You believe that controlling your body, particularly your diet—by strictly limiting what and how much you eat—is normal and healthy.

You believe that it’s normal to avoid “imperfections” and signs of aging, such as wrinkles, uneven skin tone, skin texture, cellulite, etc

It’s so much easier to survive in this oppressive culture by adhering to these harmful beliefs, but a side effect of trying to achieve perfection is a lot of stress, anxiety and wasted energy resulting in exhaustion..

You may not even realize that you’re disconnected from your body and living in a state of chronic stress & anxiety.

This stress has dysregulated your nervous system which contributes to chronic diseases, especially the immune system, digestive system and hormonal system.

It’s time to start learning about the harm of beauty standards and diet culture.

Once you start to understand the science showing that dieting does not result in greater health and most beauty standards are steeped in the systems of oppression, you’ll start to see the lies that are meant to keep us exhausted, sick and disempowered.

What’s working well:

  • You’re resilient - You’ve always done your best with what you thought was right.

  • You’re determined - You aren’t willing to give up until you get to a better place of connectedness to self (even though you don’t know what that journey looks like yet).

A Gentle Invitation:

I invite you to start questioning your body and cultural beauty standards in a new way.

Here are some free resources to help you go from survivor to thriver.

🌟⚡️REST: We’ve been conditioned to override our need for rest by pushing through, drinking caffeine, and believing that we’re lazy if we rest. Honor your biological cues by resting when you are tired. Learning to rest without guilt is the first step toward regulating your nervous system.
